The field-level data collection for the country’s 6
th Agriculture Census began in the country today and it would continue till June 20.
During the Agriculture Census-2019 bearing the theme “Krishi Shumari Shofol Kori, Somriddho Bangladesh Gori”, the enumerators will collect data on food grains, fisheries and livestock, size of the agriculture households, land use, size of the cultivated land, number of cattle and poultry, agricultural machineries, food security, fisheries and forests in the urban and rural areas across the country.
Planning Minister MA Mannan formally inaugurated the Agriculture Census today through releasing balloons and pigeons at the BBS building this afternoon, reports BSS.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today accused Myanmar of being reluctant in repatriating their over a million Rohingya nationals defying their promise and feared that some international aid agencies to tend to keep the crisis alive.
“The problem lies with Myanmar as they don’t want to return the Rohingyas by any means” though Naypyidaw signed an agreement with Bangladesh promising to repatriate them, she told a crowded press conference at her Ganabhaban official residence this afternoon, reports BSS.
