Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, MP gave a lecture on “Road Transport ACT 2018” under the auspices of the Dr Anwarul Abedin Lecture Series held on Monday at the Auditorium of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB).
The Lecture Series was organized in honor of the Late Founder and Chairman of AIUB, Dr Anwarul Abedin. The
topic of discussion focused more on the “Road Safety” and “Road Transport ACT 2018” and the relevant current activities being pursued by the present leadership of Bangladesh under Prime Minister Sheik Hasina.
Nadia Anwar, Chairman of AIUB Board of Trustees delivered welcome speech to the distinguished speaker and to the audience. This was followed by the formal introduction of the Minister by the Vice President Academics and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, Prof Dr Charles C Villanueva who highlighted the Minister’s exemplary achievements and important strategic positions in the government service and in Bangladesh Awami League.
After a very informative and enlightening speech by the Minister, he was presented a plaque of appreciation by the Founder Member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Nadia Anwar; Founder Member Dr Hasanul A Hasan, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Tafazzal Hossain; and Deans.
Among others, The Registrar, The Deans, Directors, Departmental Heads, Faculty Members, other Senior Officials, and numerous students were also present.
