3rd Convocation of Southeast University held

Southeast University celebrated its “3rd Convocation-2014” on Saturday (24 May, 2014) at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the city.

President and Chancellor of the University Md. Abdul Hamid delegated his representation to Education Minister Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP to preside over the convocation ceremony.

Professor Emeritus Dr. Anisuzzaman, Padma Bhushan, Department of Bangla, Dhaka University deliverd his valuable speech as the Convocation Speaker. Mr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Honorable Chairman, Board of Trustees of Southeast University Trust and Managing Director, Kohinoor Chemical Co. (BD) Ltd., Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University also delivered their valuable speeches. Mr. Iqbal Hossain received the “Chancellors Gold Medal” for best academic performance.

In the Second Session, Prof. Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor, Brig Gen Md. Anwarul Islam, ndc,psc,G+(Retd), Registrar, Prof. Dr. Golam Ahmed Faruqui, Dean, School of Business Studies, Prof. Syed Fakhrul Hassan, Dean (Acting), School of Science & Engineering and Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Hakim, Dean (Acting), School of Arts & Social Sciences of Southeast University were present where the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor distributed Medals to the “Vice Chancellor Award holders” and degree certificates to the graduating students.
