41st AGM of BAT Bangladesh held    

The 41st  Annual General Meeting of British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited was held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday, 23 April 2014 with Mr. Golam Mainuddin, Chairman, British American Tobacco Bangladesh, in the chair.

A large number of shareholders attended the meeting and unanimously passed the Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2013, Directors’ Report and the Auditor’s Report.

The shareholders also approved the proposed dividend of Tk 62 (including Tk.10 per share as interim cash dividend) per share. In 2013, the Company contributed Tk 8,436 crore as value added tax, supplementary duty and other taxes to the national exchequer.

This contribution makes BAT Bangladesh the largest private sector tax payer in the country.
