AIBL Vice-Chairman reelected

S M Shameem Iqbal has been re-elected as the Vice Chairman of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. at the 273rd Meeting of the Board of Directors on 31^st March 2015. According to the decision of the meeting the Vice Chairman, S M Shameem Iqbal, will continue the assigned responsibility until the next Annual general Meeting of the bank.

Mr S M Shameem Iqbal was born and brought up in Dhaka and hails from a respectable Muslim family of Gaibandha district. After successful completion of Secondary and Higher Secondary education from St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling, India, Mr Iqbal completed his BSc in Business Management and MBA from Southeastern University in London, UK.

Mr Iqbal has established successful and reputable businesses in the fields of garments, textiles and trims & packaging manufacturing. He is also engaged in the real estate and other technology driven businesses. He is a former Director of National Bank Ltd., the first private bank of Bangladesh.

Besides the professional commitments, Mr Iqbal is associated with several social and charitable organizations.
