Award for sending remittance through AIBL

Prominent expatriate businessmen Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman and his son Mohammed Emadur Rahman have received Bangladesh Bank’s ‘Remittance Award 2013’ for sending remittance to the country through banking channel.

Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman received the award as second highest remitter and Mohammed Emadur Rahman received his award as eighth highest remitter. Both of them have sent there remittance through Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd (AIBL).

Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank S. K. Sur Chowdhury handed over the Crest and Certificate to Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman in a ceremony presided by Deputy Governor Naznin Sultana on 23 November. Among other dignitaries, Chairman of Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB) Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. Md. Habibur Rahman, Deputy Managing Directors Md. Mofazzel Hossain and Mohammad Abdul Jalil were also present in the occasion.

Enlisted C.I.P of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman is one of the Sponsor Shareholders and Ex-Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. He is a Sponsor Director of AIBL Capital Marker Services Ltd. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of UAE based Al Haramain Group of Companies. His son Mohammed Emadur Rahman is one of the Directors of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd.
