A discussion meeting on the occasion of National Mourning Day was held at Virtual platform Zoom in the city with Prof. Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, Founder Chairman of JANIPOP, a national election monitoring agency.
In his speech, Prof. Kalimullah prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyrs killed on August 15, including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Dr. Kalimullah said Bangabandhu Sheikh
Golam Murshed gave an introductory speech from Dinajpur in the discussion. MM Asaduzzaman Noor, Assistant Professor, Bangladesh University of Professionals and Bangabandhu Researcher addressed the discussion held at Virtual Platform Zoom on the occasion of the sad August. He spoke on Bangabandhu’s non-communal views. He said Bangabandhu has led the formation of a non-communal Bangladesh to maintain harmony among people of different religions. Janipop National Volunteer, author, and researcher Mohammad Habibur Rahman spoke on Bangabandhu’s economic reforms.
Connected from Chandpur, Md. Masud Alam Milton said that Janipop’s month-long program has helped Bangabandhu to know deeply.
Md. Kamal Uddin, Lecturer in History and Culture of Islam of Comilla Atakra College and Janipop National Volunteer said, “If we want to love the country, we have to love Bangabandhu and Bangabandhu’s family.”
Young student leader from Chittagong Md. Arvin Shakib Ivan, Assistant Secretary of Chittagong Metropolitan Chhatra League said, Bangabandhu was vocal in realizing human rights from his childhood.
