Bank Asia Agent Banking booth opens in Munshigonj

Bank Asia opened an agent banking booth in Sreenagor Upazila of Munshigonj district on Friday (14 October, 2016) aiming to financial inclusion of un-banked rural people.

Mr. Sukumar Ranjan Ghosh, MP of Munshigonj-1 constituency inaugurated the booth at Teen Dokan Bazaar of Rareekhal in presence of Mr. Arfan Ali, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia. Mr. Md. Serajul Islam, CEO of ERA Info Tech and Mr. Ahsan-Ul Alam, Vice President & Head of Agent Banking Division were, among others, present.

Bank Asia, being a pioneer in Agent Banking in Bangladesh, introduced pilot phase in Munigonj district in 2013. Now total number of agent outlets in the district is 63 (sixty three). At present Bank Asia is operating Agent Banking service in 47 districts.
