Bank Asia provides scholarship in Hajigonj, Chadpur

As a part of its corporate social responsibility, Bank Asia has provided higher studies scholarship to 7 insolvent meritorious students of Hajigonj Upazila in Chadpur district on Saturday (07 May 2016).

Mr. Mohammed Zahirul Alam, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank handed over the scholarship money to the students at a function held at the Three Star Tower, Hajigonj. Mayor of Hajigonj Pourasava Mr. A.S.M. Mahbubul Alam Lipon and Hajigonj Upazilla Chairman Mr. Alhajj Professor Abdur Rashid Majumder were, among others, present. A large number of people including students, teachers, businessmen and local elite attended the function.

It may be mentioned that Bank Asia gives scholarships for higher study to the meritorious students in the rural areas, where the Bank has branches. A total of 186 students have been selected for Bank Asia Higher Studies Scholarship for the year 2015.
