Bank Asia provides scholarship in Munshigonj

As a part of its corporate social responsibility, Bank Asia has provided higher studies scholarship to 41 meritorious students of Sirajdikhan, Malkhanagor, Baligaon, Nimtola in Munshigonj and Kolatia of Keranigonj and Agla Bazar and Paragram of Nababgonj Upazila in Dhaka district on Friday (1 January, 2016).

Mr. A. Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of the Bank handed over the scholarship money to the students at a function held at Malkhanagor College premises in Sirajdikhan Upazila. Vice Chairman of Rangs Group Mr. Amanullah Chowdhury, Chairman of the Board Executive Committee of Bank Asia Mr. Rumee A Hossain, Director Mr. Shah Md. Nurul Alam, President & Managing Director Mr. Md. Mehmood Husain, Additional Managing Directors Mr. Aminul Islam and Mr. Md. Arfan Ali, Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Mohammed Zahirul Alam, Mr. Mamun-ur Rashid and Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury, Sirajdikhan Upazila Chairman Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed and Principal of Malkhanagor College Mr. Shafiuddin Hawlader were, among others, present.

A large number of people including students, teachers, journalists, businessmen and local elite attended the function.

It may be mentioned that Bank Asia gives scholarships for higher study to the meritorious students in the rural areas, where the Bank has branches. A total of 186 (one hundred eighty-six) students have been selected for Bank Asia Higher Studies Scholarship for the year 2015.
