At last the job seekers of Bangladesh Chattra league (BCL) Islamic university (IU) unit have withdrawn their blockade. They announced their withdrawal after a successful meeting with IU administration held at Wednesday evening, sources said.
Ashikur Rahman Japan, a former BCL leader and also a job seeker, said, ‘We had three demands to the authority. Those are – the administration must not recruit any Jamat-BNP candidate, must postpone the upcoming Recruitment Board and any recruitment, and postpone the Syndicate Meeting scheduled for June 28’.
The University authority accepted our demand and assured that they will recruit us into the Varsity, he added.
University Vice chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Hakim said, ‘As there is a restriction from UGC to recruit new officers and employers, so we will inform UGC and the Education Ministry about their recruitment’.
If we get permission from them, we will recruit the job seekers immediately, he added.
