BIAC, THAC sign MoU

Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Chairman of Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC) and Mr. Pasit Asawawattanaporn, Managing Director of Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective organizations and exchanged the MoU in the office of THAC, Bangkok, Thailand on 31st October 2016.

This MoU is intended to explore areas for co-operation in respect of the use of facilities and services of both the centres on alternative dispute resolution (ADR), jointly organizing training and seminar, knowledge sharing and other relative issues. Mr. Asawawattanaporn expressed his gratitude for taking such initiatives of signing this MoU and helping both countries to work together for resolving commercial disputes between the businesses of both the countries.

Mrs. Rokia A. Rahman, Vice President of the International Chamber of Commerce- Bangladesh (ICC-B), Mr. Ataur Rahman, Secretary General, International Chamber of Commerce- Bangladesh (ICC-B), Mr. Pawien, Deputy Managing Director of business development, THAC and senior officials of THAC were also present at the signing ceremony.

The Thailand Arbitration Center is established to provide Arbitration, Mediation to resolve civil and commercial disputes in Thailand and other countries.
