A delegation of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Party (BNP) led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir called on Chief Adviser to the interim government Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna in the capital on Monday.
BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan disclosed the information.
The delegation also includes BNP Standing Committee members Salahuddin Ahmed and Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.
According to party sources, the meeting will focus on the political and economic situation of Bangladeh, rising prices of essential commodities, various conspiracies by “fallen fascists,” as well as electoral and reform issues.
On Friday afternoon, another BNP delegation, led by Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan, met Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin and other election commissioners at the Election Commission office.
The BNP leaders were briefed on the commission’s preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
