British Council signs deal with AIUB for consultancy services

British Council, Bangladesh has awarded a contract for the consultancy services to American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) to implement a project entitled: Audio-Visual Materials Production for the English Language Modules under Transforming English Language Skills in the Higher Education Sector in (TELSHEB), says a press release.

This project aimed at producing audio-visual materials in line with the two modules previously produced by the British Council, as follows: English for Academic Purpose and English for Employability.

AIUB Vice Chancellor Dr Carmen Z Lamagna signed the contract on behalf of the university and Robin Davies, Director Partnerships and Programmes for the British Council Bangladesh at British Council Bangladesh Office recently witnessed by Md. Lutfar Rahman, Director Public Relations and International Affairs of AIUB; Mirja Mohammad Shahjamal, Head of Education, British Council; Dr. Borendra Tripura, Project Manager Internationalising Higher Education and Sanjib Malhotra, Director of Operation British Council Bangladesh.

The consultancy services will be spearheaded by Dr. Charles C Villanueva, Dean, FBA and Asso. Senior Vice President of the AIUB’s  Center for Research, Planning and Development  as the Project Adviser; Hamidul Haque, Asst. Professor, English Department as Project Coordinator and Consultant for English Academic Purpose Module; Farheen Hassan, Head Department of Management and Consultant for English for Employability Module; Anwar Hossain, Director of Photography; Mohammad Mosfiqur Rahman, Media Studio In-Charge and Editor; and Md. Monirujjamal as Cameraman.

The university has a Multi-media Arts Studio equipped with adequate and state-of-art audio-visual equipment and facilities.
