BWCCI receives CACCI Special Recognition Award

Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) has received an international award in recognition of its extraordinary efforts in promoting the development of women entrepreneurship in Bangladesh and in enhancing the status of women as important contributors to the local economy and the society in general.

This ‘Special Recognition Award’ was given to BWCCI by the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry on the occasion of the 28th CACCI Conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on September 17-19, 2014.

CACCI former President and present President formally presented the award to BWCCI President and Business for Peace Honoree Ms. Selima Ahmad.

BWCCI which is a non-profit organization was established in 2001 envisioning a prosperous Bangladesh through progress and economic empowerment of women. This recognition inspired BWCCI with renewed energy to ensure that women entrepreneurs play more significant role in Bangladesh’s economy
