Calls for more textile transparency

German Green Party politician, Renat Künast, called for a European transparency directive during a discussion on environmental and social textile standards at the recent Ethical Fashion Show Berlin.

Künast claimed the tide is turning in fashion as green fashion becomes more mainstream. “You can see this is no longer a niche but an important market – increasingly so and, for topical reasons, becoming more political”, said Künast of Germany’s green party, ‘Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen’.
