Capital Market Fair in port city Oct 8-9

CSE 5th Capital Market Fair 2015 is going to be held on October 8-9 at the GEC Convention Centre, Chittagong. Stock Brokers and Dealers, Merchant Banks, Asset Management Companies, listed companies like Banks, NBFIs, Insurance Companies, Mutual Funds will participate in the fair. Other product and service oriented companies of Textile & Clothing, Pharma & Chemical, Food & Allied Products, Cement, Engineering, Leather & Footwear, Papers & Printing, Oil & Fuel, ICT & Telecommunications sectors will also take part in the show etc.

Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd. after its Demutualization has taken numbers of initiatives to promote Bangladesh Stock Market as a brand in local and foreign market places. In 2005 the bourse has pioneered to introduce “Capital Market Fair” in the country’s commercial capital Chittagong in a bid to enable thousands of investors to get in touch of renowned capital market experts face to face during the fair. The fair that is going to be arranged by CSE for the fifth time in the country will surely create enthusiasm among the prospective investors and play role in building confidence of existing investors of the stock market . CSE organized its 1st Capital Market Fair in Chittagong in 2005, 2nd one in Sylhet in 2007, 3rd one Chittagong in 2009 and the latest one in Dhaka in 2014.

During the fair, investors will be able to interact with the officials of listed companies and know their products & services; progress of business activates and its future expansion program, update on latest financial information, corporate governance, AGM dates etc. Investors can also avail the chance to have interaction with the Stock Brokers/Dealers about their services such as opening BO Account fundamental investing knowhow i.e. P/E ratio, Dividend Yield, EPS, Internet Trading Services, broker’s workstation etc.

CSE expects a gathering of about 20,000 visitors which would include investors and prospective investors from different strata such as entrepreneurs, Public and Private service Officials, physicians, Lawyers, Engineers, House Wives, Students and Teachers from higher education institutions etc. A total of 100 stalls will be allocated to the intended participating companies in the fair on a first come first serve basis.

On the occasion of fair, a series of Seminars on different topics like Introduction of Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) in Bangladesh, Bangladesh Stock Market-its role in the National Economy, Corporate Governance-its importance in the listed company, Regulators role for sustainable stock market in Bangladesh will be arranged on the fair premise. CSE will arrange Training on Internet Trading Service through Tabs & Smart Phone at the fair as well.

Some stall participants may come up with different promotional activities like special package and discount offers, free products and service etc for the visitors. Companies can also arrange for recruitment through Job Offer to interested graduates students visiting the fair. CSE will arrange Raffle every evening of the fair.
