DBBL acquires UnionPay card at its ATM and POS terminals        

Dutch-Bangla Bank (DBBL) has started acquiring of UnionPay card at its ATM and POS terminals. To introduce UnionPay card in Bangladesh, DBBL and UnionPay International (UPI) has jointly organized a merchant get-together at Cox’s Bazar on September 19, 2014. More than 250 merchants from all over the country joined the inauguration ceremony.

Mr. Roger LEE, Head of Member Service & Business Development Department, UPI Hong Kong Branch, Mr. Teng Wei Tat, Regional Marketing Manager (South East Asia & South Asia), UnionPay International (UPI) and Mr. K.S. Tabrez, Managing Director of DBBL, Mr. Abul Kashem Md. Shirin, Deputy Managing Director of DBBL jointly introduced the UnionPay card by cutting cake and unveiling the logo of UPI.

Now UnionPay cards are accessible to 7500 units of POS Terminals and 2600 units of ATMs installed by DBBL throughout the country.
