GIBS, HELVETAS Swiss ink MoU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Grameen Intel Social Business Ltd. and HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Bangladesh, a member-based non-profit association, concerning collaboration for Information Technologies transfer to rural community of Bangladesh.

The MoU was signed on January 25, 2016 by Pavel Hoq, Chief Operating Officer of Grameen Intel (left) and Kasper Grossenbacher, Country Director of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Bangladesh at GISB’s headquarter in Dhaka, when other officials were also present.

Under the agreement, around 2,000 farmers in 10 upazillas of Gaibandha and Jamalpur districts will come under GISB’s agriculture software to ensure IT based agriculture services including optimum fertilizer application, pest and disease management and market linkage.
