Google doodle marks Bangladesh’s Independence Day

The internet giant Google has put up a ‘doodle’ paying homage to Bangladesh’s Independence and National Day.

The doodle features a poised and graceful tiger within the red circle, which is the second ‘o’ of Google. The rest of the alphabets are written in green; with ’45th Bangladesh Independence Day’ popping up when you hover the cursor on the doodle.

In other words, Google has turned it’s logo into Bangladesh’s flag; and as a bonus perhaps a little salute to our cricket team as well.

Google changes its logo in accordance to the occasion and updates it on its homepage and search result pages to commemorate special events and personalities.

The ‘doodle’ can be seen also in the Bangla version of the page (http://www.google.com.bd).

Google has been putting up ‘doodles’ since 1998. The internet giant also marked the day in 2013 by depicting a child waving the national flag with his father (hoisting a bigger flag) and mother, with the trio in a green background.
