Hajj flights begin Aug 27

Special flights for carrying Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will begin on August 27.

The series of flights will end on September 28. The return flights will start from October 8.

Religion secretary Md Babul Hassan confirmed the schedules to the journalists after an inter-ministry meeting on Hajj management at religious affairs ministry on Wednesday.

Babul Hassan said that a total of 98,763 pilgrims would perform hajj this year.

Among them 1600 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government management while the rest will go under private management.
