IBBL Business Development Conference begins

Two day long Business Development Conference of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was inaugurated on January 10, 2015 at a local hotel.

Engr. Mustafa Anwar, Acting Chairman of the Bank was present as chief guest in the inaugural ceremony of the conference.

Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of the Bank, Engr. Eskander Ali Khan, Chairman, Executive Committee addressed the function as special guest. Md. Abdus Salam, FCA, FCS, Humayun Bokhteyar, FCA, Professor NRM Borhan Uddin, Ph.D, Prof. Dr. AKM Sadrul Islam, Barrister Mohammed Belayet Hossain, Directors, Mohd. Shamsul Haque, Muhammad Abul Bashar, Md. Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, FCA, AKM Abdul Malek Chowdhury, Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam, Rafi Ahmed Begh and Nurul Islam Khalifa, Deputy Managing Directors along with Head Office executives, Head of 14 Zones and 294 Branches of the Bank were present in the conference.

The conference disclosed that the positive development trend in all business portfolios of the Bank including deposit, investment, foreign exchange business, remittance and financial inclusion was achieved in the year 2014. As on 31 December 2014, the deposit and investment of the bank stood at Tk. 562142 and Tk. 478889 million respectively. During the same period, the Bank handled foreign exchange business of Tk. 847689 million. Of them mport business was Tk. 316975 million, Export was Tk. 222753 million and foreign remittance was Tk. 307961 million.
