IBBL donates Tk 14.5m for Nepal earthquake victims

Dhaka, Jun 2 (UNB) – Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited has donated Tk 14.5 million for the earthquake victims of Nepal.  Of the amount, Tk 8.5 million was given to the Nepal Embassy while 1.5 million through Bangladesh Association of Banks and 4.5 million for tarpaulins.

In the presence of Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, IBBL Managing Director Mohammad Abdul Mannan handed over a cheque to Hari Kumar Shrestha, Ambassador of Nepal in Bangladesh, at a ceremony in a city hotel on Monday. BB Deputy Governor SK Sur Chowdhury and its Executive Director M Mahfuzur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
