IBBL gets two new DMDs

Abdus Sadeque Bhuiyan, Head of International Banking Wing and Md. Shamsuzzaman, Head of Information & Communication Technology Wing of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited have been promoted as Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank.

Abdus Sadeque Bhuiyan started his career as a probationary officer of the Bank in 1984. In the long banking career he served in different capacities and worked as the Head of Development Wing, Branches Control Division, Human Resources Division and Deputy Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (DCAMLCO). He served as incumbent of Headoffice Complex Corporate Branch, New Market Branch, Gulshan Branch and Sirajganj Branch. He is an Diplomaed Associate of Institute of Bankers Bangladesh and gained wide range of professional and leadership exposure through participation in different national and international training programs, seminars, conferences and workshops and visited many countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Nigeria, KSA, UAE, Indonesia and Australia. He was born at Araihazar of Narayanganj in 1959 and obtained Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Social Science from University of Dhaka in 1981 and 1982 respectively.

Md. Shamsuzzaman started his career as a Probationary Officer of the Bank in 1984. He served as the Head of Business Promotion & Marketing Division and Asset Management Division of the Bank. He worked as Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO), Head of Comilla Zone & Dhaka Central Zone and incumbent of Chawkbazar Branch, Dhanmondi Branch, Comilla Branch and Khatungonj Branch. He was deputed to Bahrain from 1995 to 1997 for remittance mobilization and traveled KSA, Bahrain, Malaysia & Thailand to attend international conference on islamic finance and banking. He authors a number of books on different aspects including islamic economics and banking. He was born in 1957 in Chittagong and obtained Masters Degree in Political Science from Chittagong University in 1983.
