ICAB team to attend SAFA events in India

A team of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh led by ICAB President Masih Malik Chowdhury FCA left for Bangalore , India to participate ICAI International Conference and different SAFA events to be held between 28 to 31 January 2015.

Other members of the team are ICAB Vice Presidents AF Nesaruddin FCA, Kamrul Abedin FCA, Past Presidents and Council Members ASM Nayeem FCA, Showkat Hossain FCA, Anwaruddin Chowdhury FCA, Abbas Uddin Khan FCA, Md. Abdus Salam FCA, Council Members Dr. Abu Sayed Khan FCA and Muhammad Farooq FCA.

During their stay in Bangalore, on 31 January 2015 Masih Malik Chowdhury will present paper on ‘Empowering SMEs for Development of Region-Country Perspective’ at an International Conference on ‘Accountancy Profession; Building Global Competitiveness, Accelerating Growth’ organized by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at Bangalore Palace, Bangalore, India.

They will also participate in 38th South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Board Meeting and SAFA assembly meeting on 29 January and different SAFA Committee meetings like meeting on NPOs and cooperative sector, committee meeting on professional ethics and independence, Committee meeting on Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB), Committee for Improvement in Transparency, Accountability and Governance (ITAG), Committee on Education, Training and CPD , meeting on Task Force to implement Basel-II Report in SAARC Countries on 28 January 2015.
