Int’l tourism fair kicks off in city

A three-day 3rd Bangladesh International Tourism Fair (BITF)’-13 began on Thursday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the city.

Bangladesh Foundation for Tourism Development (BFTD) and Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Bangladesh Inbound Tour operators Association and Bangladesh International Hotel Association is organizing the annual event.

Civil Aviation and Tourism minister Ruhul Amin Hawlader inaugurated the fair as the chief guest.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Khurshed Alam Chowdhury, Precident of FBCCI Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed and Diplomats of Indonesia, Myanmar, the Maldives, Bhutan and Sri Lanka were present as special guests.

Participants and buyers from the USA, Europe, Middle East, Canada, France, Mexico, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia and India were present.
