More than 47.4 m internet subscribers in May

Bangladesh ended May with 47.42 million active internet subscribers, up from 45.67 million internet subscribers at the end of April.

The mobile internet base reached 45.97 million in May, up from 44.22 million in the previous month, according to figures from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The fixed-line internet user base increased to 1.26 million from 1.25 million, while the number of Wimax subscribers fell to 188,000 in May, from 198,000 in the previous month.
