New body of SJIBL Executive Committee

Akkasuddin Mollah has been unanimously elected as Chairman and Alhaj Md. Sanaullah Shahid was elected as Vice Chairman of Executive Committee (EC) of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) in the 198^th Meeting of the Board of Directors held recently.

The newly elected Chairman Akkas Uddin Mollah is a renowned industrialist and businessman. He was born in a respectable muslim family of Nababgonj, Dhaka. After completing education, he started export business of readymade garments and established a number of Garment Industries.

He is the Chairman and Managing Director of Russel Spinning Mills Ltd., Russel Garments Ltd., Ekram Sweaters Ltd., Russel Knitting Ltd., Russel Washing Plant, Shahan Colours Ltd., Tania Cotton Mills Ltd. and PnR Fastener Co. Ltd. Renowned Industrialist and social worker, Mr. Mollah is the Chairman of Osman Memorial Hospital and Osmania Madrasa. He also travelled many countries for promotion of his business.

Newly elected Vice Chairman of EC Alhaj Md. Sanaullah Shahid was born in a noble Muslim family in Dhaka City in 1963. Mr. Shahid engaged in Electronics business after completion of his Hon’s degree in Commerce. He is a Sponsor Shareholder and Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited. Mr. Shahid is the Chairman of Electra International Ltd., a Sole Distributor of Samsung Brand Electronics Goods and Sponsor Shareholder of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Limited.
