Recently, Dider Md. Abdur Rob has been promoted and posted as the Managing Director of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) by a notification of Bank & Financial Institution Division of Ministry of Finance. Prior to this, he served Sonali Bank as a Deputy Managing Director for two and half years. He also performed additional duties as CEO & Managing Director of the same bank for about three months.
Dider Md. Abdur Rob hails from Hugli village of Sudharam Thana in Noakhali district. After completing post graduation in political science from Chittagong University he started his 
career as a Senior Officer in Sonali Bank on 08.06.1983 by acquiring 16th position in merit in BRC exam of 1982. He stood first in the combined result of ‘Banking Diploma Exam-1985’ and achieved gold medal from BCCI and silver medal from Bangladesh Bank.
Within the span of 33 years 5 months and 20 days, he headed 5 branches (4 District & 1 Upazilla branch), 3 principal offices, 2 General Manager’s offices and performed his duties with utmost integrity and honesty most of the time during his tenure. He was appreciated and decorated several times for optimum performance in different branches and divisions of the bank during his career.
Dider Md. Abdur Rob participated in various training courses, seminars and workshops on banking both home and abroad. Moreover, he served as a successful instructor of the training institute and staff college of the bank. He performed as the team leader of the representatives of all banks of Bangladesh for two years in the 12th & 13th meeting of Banking Sub Group (BSG) under the scope of Indo-Bangla Joint Business Council (IBJBC).
