PBL Chairman, Vice-Chairmen re-elected

Eminent industrialist and social worker Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Ltd (PBL). Besides, eminent industrialist and social worker Habibur Rahman and eminent industrialist and social worker Fahim Ahmed Faruk Chowdhury have been re-elected as the Vice-Chairmen of the Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Ltd.

Mr. Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder is an eminent Industrialist and Tea planter. Prominent social worker Mr. Majumder is associated with many social welfare activities. He contributed in education sector by establishing “Hafiz Majumder Education Trust”. The trust provides financial assistance to build new schools and colleges as well as improve the quality of the education in sylhet district. Many academic institutions in sylhet dist. are receiving fund from this trust. Of them ‘’Scholars home’’ has gained high reputation in sylhet in which the national curriculum is taught in English version.

Mr. Habibur Rahman is a renowned businessman and engaging himself with various social activities. He is the sponsor Director of Green Delta Insurance, Delta Hospital & Delta Medical Center. He was born in a noble Muslim family in Sylhet.

Mr. Fahim Ahmed Faruk Chowdhury is a renowned businessman and engaging himself with various social activities. He is the Managing Director of Chittagong Electric Manufacturing Company Ltd., CEM Ready Mix Concrete Ltd., Ranks FC Properties Ltd etc. Mr. Chowdhury is former Director of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Director of Delta Medical College and Hospital, Globex Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Surgiscope Hospital Private Ltd. and also Vice-President of International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB), Chittagong Chatpter. He is an M.Sc. in Business Economics from Buckingham University, UK.
