Pvt univ students block Dhaka-Rajshahi highway

Students of Varendra University on Sunday blockaded the Dhaka-Rajshahi highway at the university main entrance at Talaimari for half an hour seeking the withdrawal of VAT on their tuition fee.

Mobilising at different places on the campus, over 200 students in procession came to Dhaka-Rajshahi high and put blocked from 12:00pm to 12:30 am triggering long queues of vehicles on both ends.

Earlier, students boycotted their class and formed a human chain in front their campus at 9:00am demanding the cancellation all kind vat on private university students.
