Robi e-Waste campaign launched

Supun Weerasinghe, MD & CEO, Robi Axiata Limited has launched the e-Waste Management campaign in Robi today by crushing an unusable handset at the company’s Corporate Office.

This campaign will continue till 12th February 2015. Employees can voluntarily dispose their unusable mobile handsets, mobile batteries and handset chargers at designated e-Waste collection points within the office premise.

Robi is the first mobile phone operator to take up this initiative in the backdrop of growing environmental concern around increasing electronic waste. Company’s CCPO Matiul Islam Nowshad was also present on the occasion.
