Robi signs a MoU with KU for internship program

Robi Axiata Limited has signed a MoU with Khulna University (KU) to develop an internship program with the institution recently. Robi is providing the internship opportunity with the aim of cultivating a class of potential future Robi professionals. Under the terms of the agreement talented students at the Khulna University can participate in an experiential internship program with Robi.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Professor Sk Mahmudul Hasan, Dean of Management and Business Administration School, Khulna University, said that this internship program will give the students of Khulna University a great opportunity for a real world experience of working with a leading mobile operator of the country. Thanking the Robi management for their ongoing effort to develop world class human resource through such program, he hoped the program would immensely help the qualified students when they embark on their career.

Sharmin Sultan, Vice President, Resourcing in People and Corporate Division of Robi Axiata Limited, said that this MoU with Khulna University was part of “our continuing efforts to form partnership with the premier universities of the country in order to draw the best talents into our company.” She also said that Robi always values talented human resources as they carried the biggest strength for the company. She reiterated that Robi was always keen to encourage talented graduates from leading universities of the country to join the organization.

Today, Robi employs more than 1700 employees across the organization. It runs various talent development programs for the employees, which enable them with opportunities to attain professional growth.
