Robi Axiata Limited has introduced HD-Voice (High definition Voice), the most advanced global standard of voice service, across their 3.5G network in Bangladesh. GSMA, the association of communication service providers and equipment manufacturers spanning across 220 countries, has also accredited Robi for offering HD-Voice.
HD-Voice uses AMR WB (Adaptive Multirate Wide Band) technology to provide voice clarity and intelligibility, overall an excellent experience for the end-user. Through better noise suppression, the technology offers clear voice communication and reduces listening fatigue leading to a pleasant experience during a call. Robi 3.5G subscribers will need HD voice capable handset at both ends to take advantage of HD-Voice capability.
