English Club, Department of English, Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) staged two Shakespearean plays as a part of remembrance of William Shakespeare, the English poet. The plays performed by the students and teachers in the festival included ‘Othello’ and ‘Romeo and Juliet’ respectively on 28 and 29 last month.
Prof Dr Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice Chancellor of GUB, attended the festival as chief guest while Dr Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, presided over the program. Prof Dr Abu Jafar, Chairperson, Dept of English, Jagannath University; KM Wazed Kabir, Chairperson, Dept of English, GUB; Asst Prof Md. Shamim Mondol were present in the program.
