SJIBL half-yearly “Business Review Meeting” held

The half-yearly “Business Review Meeting-2015” of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) was held at its’ Head Office on 3^rd August 2015. The inaugural ceremony of the meeting was presided over by its Managing Director & CEO Mr. Farman R Chowdhury, while Mr. A. K. Azad Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank was present as the Chief Guest.

 Among others Vice-Chairman of the Board Alhaj Mohammad Younus, Managing Director Mr. Farman R Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director Mr. Masihul Huq Chowdhury and Deputy Managing Director Mr. Md. Setaur Rahman were delivered speech in the meeting.

 The Chairman of the bank Mr. A. K. Azad urged to the employees to serve clients with efficiency and transparency. He also said, Bank is not trading house; humanity will have to exist along with banking services. We have to invest more on production based industries. Our industrial sector will not be extended if we do not provide sufficient Gas and Electricity as on demand. On the other hand the Banks of the country will fail to investment and lazy money increase gradually. As a result unemployment will increase and a negative impact prevail on our economy. He also emphasized on to more investment in SME sector.

 The Managing Director of the bank Mr. Farman R Chowdhury discussed on the performance of the first six months of the current year and urged to take necessary strategy and action plan to achieve the target for the remaining time of the year.

The Branch Managers of Dhaka City based Branches and the Divisional head of different Division of the Head office were present in the meeting.
