Arfan new AMD of Bank Asia

Mr. Md. Arfan Ali has been promoted to Additional Managing Director of Bank Asia Ltd. He was Deputy Managing Director of the Bank.

A veteran in the Banking Industry, Mr. Arfan Ali has multifarious experience in the Corporate and Retail Banking arena with both local and multinational banks. He joined Bank Asia at the very outset in 1999 and worked as Head of Branches and different other important Departments at the Corporate Office. He led the move of introducing Agent Banking services by Bank Asia for the first time in Bangladesh aiming to bring unbanked rural people under the banking service network.

Mr. Arfan Ali completed his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka and started his career with Arab Bangladesh Bank as a Probationary Officer in the year 1991. Subsequently he served Hanil Bank (now Woori Bank) of South Korea prior to joining Bank Asia.

Mr. Arfan Ali also a guest lecturer in the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) and Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Jahangirnagor University.
