Rahman renewed as AIBL MD

Eminent Banker Md. Habibur Rahman has been renewed as the Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited for the 1 July, 2016 to 31 December 2018 term. Md. Habibur Rahman joiend Al-Arafah Islami Bank as Managing director 1^st july 2013. He was the Deputy Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited before joining Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited. Mr Rahman started his banking career through joining Sonali Bank in 1978 as Probationary Officer.

Dedicated in pursuit of welfare banking, Md. Habibur Rahman joined Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) in 1983 as Senior Officer. He served the bank – his workplace for long three decades – in multiple capacities as the faculty of Training Academy, Manager of five major branches including Local Office and Head of Operations, International Banking and Investment Wings of Head Office for long time.

A career banker Md. Habibur Rahman participated different professional training programs both at home & abroad. To attend seminars, workshops & conferences he visited more than 25 countries including Usa, Uk, Canada, Germany, France. He is a diplomaed associate of Institute of Banks Bangladesh.

Md. Habibur Rahman did his S.S.C. in 1968 from Barisal Zilla School, H.S.C. in 1970 from Govt. B.M. College, Graduation with Hon’s & Masters in Accounting in 1973 & 1974 respectively both from the University of Dhaka.
