Managing Director of Pubali Bank Limited (PBL) Helal Ahmed Chowdhury emphasized on expansion of deposit, advance and export-import business of the bank through better customer & modern banking service. Helal Ahmed Chowdhury was speaking at the 1st Managers’ conference-2014 of Dhaka Central, Dhaka North, Dhaka South and Narayangong regions of the bank held at bank’s head office recently.
Helal Ahmed Chowdhury graced the conference as chief guest while Additional Managing Director M.A. Halim Chowdhury was present as special guest. GM & Regional Head of Dhaka North Md. Dewan Jamil Masud, GM & Regional Head of Dhaka South M. Shahnawaz Chowdhury, DGM & Regional Head of Dhaka Central Region Md. Mamun Bakht and DGM & Regional Head of Narayangonj Md. Belayet Hossain presided over the conference of their respective regions.
Helal Ahmed Chowdhury advised all Regional Managers & Branch Managers to work with honesty, devotion and skill for achieving the target fixed as the bank has to operate in a highly competitive Banking sector. Mr. Chowdhury said, Pubali Bank Ltd. has turned from public to private management system and as an enriched bank it is one of the role models in the banking sector of Bangladesh. He emphasised on recovery of overdue, classified and write off loan on priority basis. He advised them to keep close vigilence so that newly disbursed loans may not become overdue or classified by intensive supervision and close monitoring of the loan.
Additional Managing Director M.A. Halim Chowdhury emphasized on expansion of the business at a very competitive price through better customer & modern banking service. He also impressed upon the officials to increase overall foreign exchange business in order to cope with the changes in the environment of the global banking sector.
Performance of the branches also evaluated in the meeting and necessary strategy and plans were taken to achieve the target fixed for the year 2014. General Managers of Head Office,Branch Managers and Senior Executives were also present at the conference. Deputy General Manager of General Services & Development Division Sk. Abdus Sabur delivered welcome speech.
