BIAC stresses on ADR in financial sector
Bangladesh International Arbitration centre (BIAC), country’s first and only ADR institution, visited Bangladesh Bank, the central bank of Bangladesh recently and explained the need and use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in the financial sector.

#darazcares – a tribute to women
Daraz.com.bd, a leading online retailer teamed up with their brand ambassador Mushfiqur Rahim, Test Captain of BD cricket team and implemented an initiative of #DarazCares. This was carried out in association with ActionAid Bangladesh to support their project, the Happy Homes- Centres for the deprived and underprivileged girls of Dhaka city.
As a tribute to International Women’s day, ActionAid helped Daraz host a program at their premises with 30 marginalized girls out of 150 of ‘Happy Homes’, a home supported by ActionAid Bangladesh which works for the improvement of the lives of these girls. Daraz

Targeting the high school students to make them competent in the information communication and technology sectors with the slogan 'Let them know, show yourself off', the National High School Programming Contest 2016, organized by the Information and Communication Technology Division (ICT) of Bangladesh government and powered by Robi Axiata Ltd. held with a befitting manner at Comilla University on Tuesday. The department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of the university conducted the program. New project to trace Bangladesh shrimp back to farm
Consumers of shrimp farmed in Bangladesh may soon be able to trace the origins of what they are eating back to the producer, thanks to an e-traceability system launched by WorldFish. The system, including a new mobile application, is part of a five-month pilot to try out digital traceability in the shrimp sector under the USAID-funded Aquaculture for Income and Nutrition (AIN) project, writes Kate Bevitt, WorldFish.
As part of the pilot project, 300-500 farmers will be connected to a collection center at Borodanga, southern Bangladesh, where the bulk of the country’s shrimp exports are produced.
