The foundation stone for the construction of the new academic building - 'Academic Building-2' - was laid in the courtyard of Patuakhali Collectorate School and College at Bauphal uapzila in Patuakhali. Member of the Sub-Committee on Finance and Planning of the Bangladesh Awami League, and the Chairman of AVR Group Haseeb Alam Talukdar was present at the event. He transferred a check of 3 million Taka to Mr. Nur Kutubul Alam, the district administrator of Patuakhali.

Former Awami League MP from Chandpur-4 (Faridganj) and former district Awami League president Dr Shamsul Haque Bhuiyan passed away at a private hospital in Dhaka on Friday morning.
He is survived by his wife, three sons and a host of relatives and friends, reports UNB.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held in Faridganj on Friday
afternoon. His home is in Kaunia village of Rupsha South Union of Faridganj.
