Arab, Muslim states not agree with Western alert
Dhaka-based diplomats of Arab and Muslim states do not agree with the travel alert that the western countries issued for their nationals visiting or staying in Bangladesh, following the killing of an Italian citizen.
According to them, the security situation in Bangladesh has not dipped so low for such travel alerts nor is cause for foreigners to leave the country or not travel to Bangladesh.
They are, however, anxious over the murder of Italian citizen in the diplomatic zone in the capital.

Nepal to suspend Indian TV channels
Nepal’s cable federation said it would suspend Indian television channels, while protesters marched in Kathmandu carrying an effigy of India’s prime minister on Monday, accusing their neighbour of imposing an economic blockade and meddling in internal politics.
The Federation of Nepal Cable Television planned to suspend broadcasting of Indian channels in Nepal from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sunil Kumar Lama, the organization’s general secretary, said on Monday.

UK leads $ 56mln for Daraz serving in Bangladesh
Earlier this month, Rocket Internet announced that it would be stepping up aggressive growth in Asia once more, with one new launch per quarter to expand in emerging markets. Today, the e-commerce giant is following through on that strategy: Daraz — an e-commerce portal modelled on Amazon and serving Bangladesh, Pakistan and Myanmar — is today announcing a $56 million (€50 million) round of financing.
This is the first major funding for Daraz, which started in 2012 as a fashion portal before expanding to home and other categories. The funding is also notable because it’s not coming

A failure to handle the migrant crisis effectively could adversely affect the “idea of Europe”, Germany’s labour minister said on Thursday, calling for a fairer distribution of refugees within the European Union.
Speaking at a briefing ahead of the G20 meeting of finance ministers and central bankers in the Turkish capital this week, Andrea Nahles warned that Europe had “come to a crossroads”, and that poor handling of the influx of asylum seekers from countries like Syria was fueling

Japanese protests new military law
Thousands of people have protested outside of Japan’s parliament against new legislation that would allow the military to deploy overseas.
The changes would allow Japanese troops to fight abroad for the first time since World War Two.
The legislation has already been passed by Japan’s lower house and is expected to be endorsed by the upper chamber.
Under its constitution, Japan is barred from using force to resolve conflicts except in cases of self-defence.
