Some individuals have been misinterpreting an immediate walkout by certain delegates during the speech of the Israeli representative at the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety in Marrakesh, Morocco, on 18 February 2025, Bangladesh’s Foreign Ministry stated today (21 February). VAT on biscuits reduced by half

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has reduced the Value Added Tax (VAT) on both machine-made and hand-made biscuits by half.  A notification to this effect was issued on Wednesday, 19 February. Under the new regulation, the VAT on these products has been slashed from 15% to 7.5%. The notification specifies that the reduced VAT will apply to machine-made biscuits, as well as hand-made biscuits and cakes with a price exceeding Tk 200 per kilogram and Tk 300 per kilogram, respectively.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is a dictator, said U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a BBC report.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote that if Zelensky does not take immediate action, Ukraine will not survive.

Labeling Zelensky a dictator, Trump stated, "I love Ukraine, but Zelensky has done terrible things. His country has been destroyed. Millions of people have died unnecessarily."

He further mentioned that the United States is actively engaged in negotiations to end the war with Russia.
