Forbes has released its 2025 ranking of Spain’s 100 wealthiest individuals, with Amancio Ortega retaining the top spot. The Inditex founder, behind Zara, Massimo Dutti, and other global fashion brands, leads the ranking with a fortune of €109.9 billion, despite a reduction of €10.3 billion over the past year due to stock fluctuations.
Ortega manages his wealth through Pontegadea Inversiones, which also holds a significant portfolio of real estate assets, making him not only Spain’s richest but one of the wealthiest individuals globally.
The ranking, published this week, provides a snapshot of how wealth is concentrated among Spain’s top entrepreneurs and heirs. It also underscores the growing role of philanthropy, with several members of the top 15 actively contributing to education, healthcare, and cultural projects.
