Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2017 will begin across the country tomorrow.
A total of 11,83,686 examinees from 8,864 educational institutions will take part in the examinations. Of the total candidates, 6,35,697 are male and 5,47,989 female.
The theoretical examinations will continue till May 15, while practical examinations will be held from May 16-25, education ministry sources said. Earlier, Education Minister Nurul Islam

India is likely to give Bangladesh a credit line of at least US$3.5 billion (S$4.9 billion) for infrastructure projects during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s state visit next month, as Beijing and New Delhi jostle for geopolitical influence in South Asia.
The credit line, which would be India’s third to its neighbour, would go towards a variety of projects ranging from nuclear and liquefied natural gas power plants to ports, railways and the establishment of special economic zones, according to a Bangladesh government document seen by Bloomberg.

Norway happiest country, Bangladesh 110th: Report
Norway displaced Denmark as the world’s happiest country, whereas Bangladesh stood at the 110th place, in a new report released today that called on nations to build social trust and equality to improve the wellbeing of their citizens.
The Nordic nations are the most content, according to the World Happiness Report 2017 produced by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global initiative launched by the United Nations in 2012.
