Bangladeshi youth killed by BSF gunfire near C’nawabganj border
A Bangladeshi youth was shot and killed by gunfire from the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) near the Ahedpur border in Chapainawabganj on Sunday night.
The deceased, identified as Md. Abdullah, was reportedly killed on Indian soil near the Ahedpur border in Shibganj upazila. Abdullah was the son of the late Nazrul Islam from South Nishipara in Narayanpur Union, Sadar upazila.
According to Abdul Alim, a local Union Parishad member, Abdullah and several other Bangladeshis had crossed the border into India on Sunday night. During this time, the BSF opened fire, resulting in Abdullah's death on the spot. His companions, however, managed to return to Bangladesh unharmed.
