The Cotton Textiles Exports Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL) has welcomed the inclusion of exports of cotton fabrics – both woven and knitted - to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka under the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) vide Public Notice No. 27 dated July 14, 2015 issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).

Utilization of dairy industry waste products
Milk, which is one of the chief sources of calcium, is highly nutritious and constitutes a part of our daily diet in some form or the other. The main constituents of milk are water, proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, which are essential for growth and development.
Milk also contains various biologically active compounds such as caseins and whey proteins. Of the total whey solids, it is estimated that about 75% is lactose. Milk is available as full cream, skim, lactose-free and fat free milk. Condensed and evaporated milk, which can be pasteurized

EU parliament backs reform of carbon market
The European Parliament approved plans to overhaul the Europe Union’s carbon market, a key part of strategies to curb the EU’s global-warming emissions.
