55 cops transferred in major reshuffle

Fifty five (55) officers have been transferred in a significant reshuffle among senior ranks of the police force. This development was announced in four separate notifications issued by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday.

The notifications were signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Mahabur Rahman Sheikh, under the directives of the President.

According to one of the notifications, two officers in the position of Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) have been transferred. Another notification reported the transfer of five officers holding the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

Moreover, 32 officers of Superintendent of Police (SP) rank have been transferred as per one notification, and another 16 officers were transferred in a separate notification.

The notifications stated that these orders, issued in the public interest, would take immediate effect.
