The 5th Capital Market Fair’ 2015 organised by Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd (CSE) kicks off today at 10 am at the GEC Convention Center in the port city Chittagong. The fair will continue till October 29.
In the inaugural ceremony, Prof Dr M Khairul Hossain, Chairman of BSEC graced the occasion as chief guest. Among others, Prof Md. Helal Uddin Nizami, Commissioner, BSEC, Sheikh Kabir Hossain, Chairman CDBL spoke on the development of capital market.
They highlighted the present and future prospect of the market, regulatory activities, monitoring and controlling of the market. BSEC Chairman assured of enriching the market like other world-class capital markets. He said, the capital market should be a strong investors’ friendly market as the well-reputed companies intend to be listed in the stock exchanges.
On the sideline of the fair, CSE organized training on CSE Internet Trading Service, seminar on Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) as parts of the fair on the opening day. Among the Issuer Companies, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd (BBS), BSRM etc. took part in the fair.
Among others, financial institutions, security houses and trade companies participated in the fair.
