A local company namely Arrow Jeans (Pvt) Ltd (Unit-1) is going to set up a readymade garments industry in Chittagong EPZ. This company will invest $ 8 million for setting up their plant with annual production capacity of 3 million dozens of Casual Jeans, Trouser, Dress Pants, Skirt, Shorts, Jacket, Vest, Ladies Blouse, Blazer & Jump Suits.
Arrow Jeans will create employment opportunity for 1804 Bangladeshi nationals, says a press release.
An agreement to this effect has signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and Arrow Jeans (Pvt.) Limited in Dhaka today (06-11-2013) at BEPZA Complex. Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Md. Arif-ul-Karim (Munna), Managing Director of Arrow Jeans signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman, Khandakar Aktaruzzaman, Member (Engineering), AKM Mahbubur Rahman, Member (Finance), Md. Shawkat Nabi, Secretary, AZM Azizur Rahman, General Manager (Investment Promotion), Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations) of BEPZA and other officials were present at the signing ceremony.
